Oceania Cruises Gastronomy

Sail worldwide on board Oceania Cruise ships and take advantage of free airfare, 2-for-1 cruise fares, plus 2-for-1 deposits or save up to $6,000 per stateroom on select sailings from Luxe Travel while experiencing the finest dining any cruise line can offer. Luxury cruises have become the fine dining establishments of the sea, and Oceania Cruises’ culinary temptations top the charts, thanks to Master Chef and Executive Culinary Director Jacques Pepin – host of award-winning cooking shows, author of over 20 cookbooks and personal chef to many heads of state.

Oceania’s Customized Gourmet Menus

Menus aboard Oceania Cruises reflect the regions to which each ship is touring, and because Oceania hosts smaller groups of travelers, the cook staff is able and willing to cater to individual requests.

While the chefs create thousands of unique dishes over the course of each voyage, specialties include the King’s Cut Bone-In Prime Rib and a variety of artisan breads, such as bacon bread, poulichettes and brioche rolls.

A special feature of all Oceania Cruises is the afternoon tea, a four-o-clock event offering cruise guests the chance to relax to the sounds of a classical string quartet while enjoying creations from the resident pastry chefs, including petit fours, scones, finger sandwiches and a variety of desserts, as well as numerous tea selections.

Oceania Dining Options

Four distinctly different restaurants are available upon each Oceania Cruise ship along with two more unique fine dining restaurants. Each restaurant has an open seating policy, so reservations are never required.

The Grand Dining Room is modeled after the world’s top 5-star establishments. Tuxedo-clad servers attend to guests while classical string quartets or concert pianists entertain. Dine on six-course meals with American-inspired Continental creations.

Toscana is Oceania’s feature Tuscan restaurant, offering samples of the authentic Italian dishes, created by their own Italian culinary staff. Over a dozen exquisite olive oils and balsamic vinegars grace the menu.

For open-air poolside dining, Oceania’s Waves serves a variety of casual savory items. Watch the chefs grill burgers or seafood. They even make their own homemade ice cream and gelato.

Terrace Café offers both inviting indoor and outdoor seating. Don’t let the buffet style fool you. Mediterranean flair selections include whole Maine Lobster, roast duckling, paellas and made to order grilled dishes.

Polo Grill is a smaller, more intimate dining area with steakhouse and seafood favorites. Dine here for Oceania’s signature 32-ounce, Bone-In King’s Cut Prime Rib that melts in your mouth.

Lighter fare is available at Tapas on the Terrace where cruise guests can dine upon a tapas buffet while enjoying a variety of desserts and specialty cocktails.

The best part of the dining experience aboard Oceania Cruises? The costs of dining as well as gratuities are already included in the cruise fare, so guests are free to enjoy any dish they choose as many times as they want. The all-inclusive dining experience also includes unlimited soft drinks, bottled water, cappuccino, espresso, teas, juices, and 24-hour room service.

Beer, Wine and Spirit Packages are available as well, including House Select and Prestige Select options.
