Seabourn has an outstanding reputation for first-class luxury service combined with exotic itineraries. Their gourmet cuisine and inclusive extras, such as no charge for cocktails, coffee, or fitness classes, brings guests coming back for more. The space-to-guest ratio is magnificent, creating a private and exclusive experience for a small number of guests at a time.
Almost everything is included aboard Seabourn cruises, such as complimentary fine wines and spirits. Up to five dining venues are available on each Seabourn ship, from al fresco dining on deck to traditional restaurants offering all three meals. Restaurant 2 offers an adventurous menu while The Colonnade offers themed dining. Upon request, guests may have dinner from The Restaurant served course-by-course in their own suites with linens, china, and silver service included. Chef Charlie Palmer develops their menus. Reservations are not required, but they are recommended for Restaurant 2, The Colonnade, and Patio Grill.
The gyms onboard Seabourn ships are incredibly well-equipped, offering resistance machines, weight benches, cardio cycles, programmable treadmills, and even free classes in stretch yoga, mat Pilates and cardio Ki-Bo. Professional trainers and nutritional specialists are available to assist guests in health planning. Odyssey and Sojourn include motion studios with Kinesis wall.
Internet access is available via WiFi connection as well as in the Seabourn business center. Satellite bandwidth is slower over the water than on land, so guests are asked to limit usage to email communication and basic web browsing only, especially since water-based satellite connections are subject to occasional interruption.
Crowds and Destinations
Most Seabourn guests are experienced travelers. The three older ships’ classic feel tends to attract older guests, while the three newer ships, with shorter voyages and more mainstream ports, attract guests of all ages, including new travelers. Most guests are American, but every trip appeals to a variety of well-off, well-traveled world travelers from South Africa, Australia, Britain, and more.
All Seabourn cabins are suites, equipped with designer bath amenities, flat-screen TVs, Bose Wave sound systems, and more. Complimentary bottles of champagne are placed in each Seabourn cabin, and bar drinks are complimentary.
