Windstar Cruises includes three recently refurbished masted ships, offering casual atmospheres and relaxed “casual elegance” dress codes while still providing exceptionally luxurious service and amenities.
Food-based activities are common aboard Windstar Cruises. Regular dining options, however, include Wind Surf’s Degrees restaurant, rotating among Asian, European, and other themes nightly (soon to offer a Mediterranean menu), and Candles, their on-deck al fresco option offering kabobs, salads, and light dinner fare.
Windstar stays away from the typical Vegas-style reviews available on other cruises and instead opts for classier activities, such as nightly cocktail hour with the ship’s host and hostess as they give the insider info on the next ports of call. Other unique activities include food-related events, such as their chocolate buffet or poolside pig roast.
Private tours are available through the cruise staff, as are “Concierge Club” shore excursions: personal tours for small groups.
Complimentary water sports, such as snorkeling, windsailing, paddle boating, and water skiing, are available on each Windstar vessel, and on Wind Surf, try their inflatable island with trampoline.
