Crystal Cruises is a luxury cruise line offering large-scale luxury with their bigger ships and one of luxury travel’s highest guest-to-staff, guest-to-space ratios.
Both Crystal Cruises ships offer outstanding Japanese and Italian restaurants on board, as well as main dining rooms, boutique restaurants, cyber cafes and their Trident Grill located on the pool deck. Dining reservations are available, and guests are encouraged to make them using the Priority Check-In and Planning Center, an online system that displays a full, personalized itinerary for each guest, including dining reservations and activity bookings. Crystal Cruises has announced plans to go all-inclusive with dining, beverages and gratuities in 2012. However, for the remainder of 2011, they offer a generous onboard credit of up to $2,000 per couple per cruise.
Swimming and gambling are two of the many activities available onboard Crystal Cruises. Also offered are unique classes in Computer University @ Sea which educate guests in social media and other skills on big-screen iMacs running Apple or Windows. Children’s activities are available, as are afternoon tea, paddle tennis, bingo and more.
Crowds and Destinations
Crystal Cruises offers longer cruises, often preferred by the older crowds. In addition, they also offer week-long, family-focused options to destinations such as Alaska and the Caribbean. Other destinations include: Europe, Mexico, Asia, the Middle East, North America’s Canada/New England region, Panama Canal and South America.
With such large spaces available on these ships, Crystal Cruises is able to offer far more options for entertainment, socializing, casinos, spa, fitness, activities and dining than its smaller luxury counterparts.
