Accommodations

The Singita Castleton Camp “farm-house” includes 3 double cottages with 4 twin rooms and 2 double rooms with en-suite bathroom. All rooms are air-conditioned and also have ceiling fans. The main farmhouse has wide verandas, and a large lounge and dining area.

Singita Castleton Camp can place up to 12 guests at any one time in its astounding private safari home of three cottages and a total of 6 rooms designed in a colonial matter. The building is stone-walled and overlooks the African wilderness. Every room has Internet, Satellite TV and fax.

Activities

Enjoy the private airstrip or road transfers within the Singita Private Game Reserve when you stay at Singita Castleton Camp. Get out and get active with games such as tennis, biking and archery. Enjoy fireside dinners in the boma, and children enjoy the tennis court, swimming pool and trampoline.

Activities at Singita Castleton Camp include game drives twice a day, guided by professional guides and trackers, guided safari walks at the request of guests, mountain biking and archery, community tours into neighboring villages, Internet, satellite TV, fax facilities, and a library. Guests at Castleton may take advantage of shopping, a premier wine boutique, and a spa complete with a fully equipped gym at either the nearby Ebony or Boulders Lodge.

Singita, and Castleton Camp, is dedicated to preserving the environment and depends on its management teams, guides and trackers to serve as guardians of the preserves.

Visitors to the Singita Castleton Camp will witness a variety of game-viewing, often including predator interaction, sometimes during the day and sometimes during one of the guided spotlight safaris. The Sand River runs through the Sabi Sand and one often sees leopards lurking by the river. It’s possible to observe leopards at close range as guests of the Singita Game Reserves have been visiting the same area for years without harm to the leopards. Guests can occasionally witness them hunting, raising cubs, and teaching the cubs survival skills.

Guests at Singita Castleton Camp may also see lions, elephants, white rhinos, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, impalas, giraffes, mongooses, cheetah, wild dogs, and baboons, among other species. There are also over 400 species of birds in the Sabi Sands area along. This gives guests unparalleled opportunities for world-class photography. Animals are often found close together and there’s sometimes the potential of getting closer to the animals to get amazing shots.

Dining

The price of accommodations at Singita Castleton Camp includes three meals a day and all drinks, except for premium wines, spirits, liqueurs, and champagne. Enjoy meals provided by a gourmet chef with drinks and access to the Singita Wine Cellar, even access to private use of the cellar.
